During the term Winter ’10, our small group struggled through the posed question. (Specifically, we were reading through this book.) I skipped a lot of our meetings and so I never actually put a nice coherent summary of what I learnt throughout the sessions.

Today, I realized two points closely related to the aforementioned question:

  • To question W.W.J.D in our situation is not fair for ourself, since we really don’t have the capacity to act as Jesus in every step. A more appropriate and easier-to-answer question (in my opinion at least) is “What would Jesus would like me to do in this situation?” It begs a more practical answer and looking at Christian values as a reference point would carry us to a great extent.
  • I think our job should also lie in a field where we can serve others and do God’s work.

I would leave this post at these two points. More thoughts, coherency, and connection between these seemingly disparate ideas should follow.
