I’ve been looking for this quote for a long time, finally I found it again:

“It is more important to have beauty in one’s Equations than to have them fit experiment.” – P.A.M. Dirac

When teaching differential equation, show them Ricatti differential equation. Euler’s, Bessel’s, Legendre’s, Laguerre’s are so outdated 😉
